13 February 2025: Visit to the museum caféSpaghetti with a pesto sauce

Seventeen of us attended (16 members and one spouse). Some of us had ordered in advance, which gave the organiser some idea of how many to expect. Her estimate was one short, so we had to add an extra chair. The café coped well and we all appreciated the meals they provided.

Because of the numbers, they had given us a long table in their second room. That did leave less space for other diners. The rest of the place was crowded. The weather was cold but otherwise reasonable, which may have encouraged people to visit the museum in which the café is situated and the adjoining park.

There was no formal agenda. We simply socialised among ourselves. Dining with friends is an enjoyable way of spending a lunchtime.

Seventeen attendees is more than we usually get these days. Perhaps we should review the format of other meetings!
